Looks like the South is rising, but who woulda thunk it would rise this way? Part of me believes that the increase of interracial marriage between 20–and which appears to be the largest jump for all races included in the study–is due in part to more black women intermarrying.

The segment of black interracial marriage is interesting as well, since it looks like the majority of black/white marriages (51%) are happening in the southern region of the country–in fact the majority of ALL interracial marriages are happening in the south (39%)!!
