Birchwood Pet Grooming has been in operation since 1997.
Monica is a certified groomer with many professional years grooming all breeds of dogs and cats.
As a concerned dog parent, you want to keep your dog’s teeth in great shape.
After all, you visit your dentist for teeth cleanings twice a year and have probably wondered just how often you should take your dog in for dental work.
Our pet grooming service is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday by appointment only.
You are welcome to bring your pet to us between a.m. All grooming services include nail trim, ear cleaning and anal gland expression.
As with any disease, the sooner it’s diagnosed the more options that can be made available for its treatment.
So how does an owner come to realize that their dog has hip dysplasia?
" So you will tell yourself that you "can't hold your pet," and "you can't see where to cut," and you are "terrified of hurting them," so you in very short order give up and decide to leave it to the pros, us.
I see a lot of clients who come in for nail assistance. " But I think the reason that we don't ask more often is that we know in most cases what the response is going to be. "Max doesn't like his nails trimmed and I am afraid to cut them too close." (I should put the clause in here, "if I had a nickel for every time I heard this.") My response ALWAYS wants to be; "I am sure that Max doesn't like his nails being cut, and we all worry about cutting the nail too short because this certainly does happen no matter how experienced the trimmer is, or how careful we are, but Max shouldn't be the one who gets to decide what does and doesn't get done to him when we are talking about his health.
" The answer is always "Yes." And in many cases the conversation stops there. We should ALL always ask, "What's your concern about you doing them?
Sedating a dog involves using anesthesia to help a dog become calm during a veterinarian procedure such as a surgery, grooming or even something minor like a toenail trimming.
The cost will depend on the type of sedation, the vet performing the procedure and the geographical location.
The teeth are cleaned with an ultrasonic scaler, a tool that vibrates at a high speed, to remove large pieces of plaque and tartar.
